Let Us Pray For...
Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter, American Anglican Council
Mr. Bill Chapin

Iowa Chapter, American Anglican Council
Ms. Dee Townsend

South Dakota Chapter, American Anglican Council
Mrs. Ingrid Dobrovolny (President)

Special Prayer Petitions
Please continue to pray for all ACC pilgrims as they prepare for GAFCON in the holy city of Jersusalem.

Pray also for the Board of the South Dakota Chapter of the ACC: Gene Makinson, Melissa Fountain, Dale Dobrovolny, Peter Hassenstein, Holli Burke.

Give praise and thanksgiving for God's guidance and support through "growing pains," for fresh growth in participating membership and contacts, for the inspiration and resources to provide monthly financial support to needs beyond our Chapter.

Prayer Requests:
That God bless our upcoming communications efforts to bring truth to people in and out of the Episcopal Church here. For the emergence of praying clusters of Anglicans around this region. For the emergence and growth of Biblical, traditional and reasonable Anglican witness in South Dakota.

From the Scriptures
Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For,
“Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from deceitful speech.
He must turn from evil and do good;
he must seek peace and pursue it.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened.” But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

I Peter 3:8-17 (NIV)

A Guiding Prayer
Grant, O Lord, we beseech thee, that the course of this world may be so peaceably ordered by thy governance, that thy Church may joyfully serve thee in all godly quietness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

“The Fifth Sunday after Trinity,” The Book of Common Prayer (USA, 1928)

A Heritage Reflection
“We receive and embrace all the canonical Scriptures, both of the Old and New Testament, giving thanks to our God, who hath raised up unto us that light which we might ever have before our eyes, lest either by the subtlety of man, or by the snares of the devil, we should be carried away to errors and lies.”

Bishop John Jewel (1522-1571)
The Apology of the Church of England
